Celtic are interested in a move to re-sign out-of-favour Newcastle United midfielder Ki Sung-yueng.
According to Football Insider, Neil Lennon could offer the player an escape route out of St James’ Park.
Ki has fallen out of favour under Steve Bruce this season, making just three appearances in the Premier League.
The midfielder can leave for free at the end of the season and a January deal would allow the Magpies to cash in on him while they still can.

This looks like a smart piece of business for Newcastle, as long as they plan to strengthen in the new year – they don’t want to be left short in this position during the end-of-season run-in.
Ki hasn’t been part of Steve Bruce’s plans this season, so a move away looks like the obvious next step for the 30-year-old.
By joining Celtic, he’d be returning to his former club and Newcastle would avoid the prospect of selling to a direct rival as well.
