Newcastle and Tottenham are set to battle it out to land Burnley forward Dwight McNeil in the January transfer window.
According to The Guardian, Newcastle, Palace and Spurs are all interested in the winger, who has been catching the eye this season.
The report does, however, state that it is unlikely that Burnley will allow McNeil to leave before the summer.

McNeil has registered one goal and four assists for Burnley in the Premier League this season and earned himself a call-up to the England under-21 squad. His bright play down the left wing has attracted the interest of other clubs, including Newcastle, as he appears to be a top prospect for the future.
At just 20, McNeil has plenty of room to improve and grow as a player in the coming years. This means that signing him could be a shrewd investment from Newcastle, whilst also adding further depth in the wide areas for Steve Bruce’s squad.
With Andy Carroll’s aerial presence in the box, Newcastle could thrive with McNeil’s crossing from the left. He could deliver the type of service Carroll could attack in order for him to score regular goals for the Toon in the Premier League.
