Following a disappointing penalty shootout defeat to Leicester City, Newcastle United resume their Premier League campaign against Watford at St. James’ Park.
The Magpies registered a huge upset in their last game by beating Tottenham Hotspur in their own backyard.
Last season, Newcastle beat Watford at home while drawing at Vicarage Road. The Hornets are currently 20th in the Premier League table but won in their League Cup encounter against League One club Coventry City.
After beating Spurs, the Magpies will certainly gain a great deal of confidence and given how Javi Gracia’s side have fared so far, they have a good chance of registering their second win on the trot.
However, Watford can’t be written off. They may have lost their first three league matches but have the kind of players who are capable of turning things around. Hence, Newcastle have every reason to not take the Hornets lightly. Besides, things might be tough for the Magpies as they have some injury concerns.
Now, here is our predicted XI for the match…
