Newcastle United suffered a worrying 3-1 defeat to Norwich City on Saturday, making them one of four sides still without a point in the Premier League.
Steve Bruce’s pre-match comments on ‘nicking a result’ at Carrow Road failed to come to fruition, with Teemu Pukki’s hat-trick earning the Canaries their first three points of the season.

And developments with the bookmakers, revealed by The Shield Gazette’s Miles Starforth, have seen Newcastle made favourites to suffer relegation.

After Saturday’s result and performance, it’s no surprise the club are favourites for the drop. It is clear that something needs to change quickly.
Whether that be the man in the dugout or the tactics he is currently deploying, the Magpies can’t continue with their lacklustre form.
The club’s next two home league games could prove to be decisive. Bruce will need positive results against both Watford and Brighton, with the Magpies set for tricky away fixtures at Tottenham and Liverpool.
If the club are still without a first league win come the end of September, it could well spell the end for Bruce at St James’ Park.
