Newcastle fans react as Allan Saint-Maximin doesn’t start Arsenal game

Steve Bruce named his first Premier League team as the manager of Newcastle United and there was one man who plenty of Magpies’ fans could not believe was missing from the starting line-up.

Bruce’s XI did include a Premier League debutant, striker Joelinton, but Allan Saint-Maximin was only named on the bench, much to the annoyance and disbelief of these supporters.

However, there were some fans who were happy with the line up.

It’s always nice to see new players in the starting XI so the frustration at seeing Saint-Maximin on the bench is understandable.

However, it looks like Bruce has decided to pick a more conservative starting line-up to help nullify some of the attacking talents that Arsenal possess, hence why Saint-Maximin is on the bench.

Magpies fans will be hoping to see the Frenchman come off the bench and make an impact on his Premier League debut

matchday.
