Steve Bruce will reportedly allow Jacob Murphy to leave the club on loan this summer – but is it the right call?
According to Football Insider, a number of Championship sides are keen on taking the 24-year-old on a season-long loan after Bruce recently gave the club the green light for the winger to leave.

Murphy has struggled to make the impact many were expecting after arriving from Norwich City for £10 million two years ago, so loaning him out appears to be the right call by Bruce.
The winger, unfortunately, has failed to nail down a starting spot at St James’ Park, scoring just once in 34 Premier League appearances for the Magpies.
He coped better on loan with West Brom in the second half of last season, and another successful stint in the Championship could be just what the player needs in order to push for a regular starting spot at Newcastle next year.
It looks like this season away from Tyneside will be key in Murphy’s Newcastle future. If he can be a standout performer in the second-tier, he may well earn the opportunity to remain at the club.
However, if he fails, that could spell the permanent end of his rather flat Magpies career.
