Leeds United have reportedly moved ahead of Newcastle in the race to land exciting Argentine forward Facundo Colidio.
That’s according to Gianluca Di Marzio, who claim that the Whites have overtaken the Magpies and are hoping to strike an agreement with Inter Milan in the coming days.

Newcastle have been tracking the player for some time, with Inter reportedly valuing the teenager between €8-10 million.

Even though Colidio has failed to make a competitive first-team appearance for the Italian giants, many have tipped the forward to become a future star.
The Argentine has found the back of the net with ease during his two-year stint in Inter’s academy and Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa tends to be a great judge of character, so his interest in his fellow countryman should be ringing alarm bells for Newcastle.
The 19-year-old scored 12 times last season and could end up being an excellent backup option for Steve Bruce to have in attack.
Colidio’s versatility is another string to his impressive young bow. He can play as a left-winger as well as a forward, with his pace, finishing and dribbling three key attributes which have attracted the interest of the two English parties.
It remains to be seen as to whether or not Newcastle will challenge Leeds for the teenager’s signature, however, it looks as if the Magpies should do everything they can to lure the South American to St James’ Park in what could prove to be an excellent piece of business.
