Leeds eye Fulham ‘keeper over Newcastle’s Darlow

Leeds United are interested in signing Fulham goalkeeper Fabri, according to Mirror Sport (Live Blog).

It had previously been reported that the Lilywhites were readying a move for Newcastle ‘keeper Karl Darlow, who has been linked with a move away from St James’ Park.

The 28-year old played 11 times in the Premier League for the Magpies last season before they signed Martin Dubravka on loan in January.

With Newcastle having then signed Dubravka to a permanent deal in the summer, Darlow hasn’t been able to win back his first-team place, and has been linked with a loan switch away from Tyneside.

However, Leeds are now said to be desperate to sign Fabri, although they will face competition from Rayo Vallecano and Besiktas.

Mirror Sport’s report even claims that Turkish reports allege Leeds want to sign Fabri ‘so much’, and so the chances of Darlow getting his move to Elland Road seem unlikely.
