Newcastle boss Rafael Benitez is reportedly considering making a move for Leeds United striker Kemar Roofe, if funds are made available in January, the Mirror report.
The Magpies have struggled in front of goal across the course of the campaign, finding the back just 15 times in their opening 20 Premier League fixtures.
Roofe on the other hand has had no trouble in finding the back of the net for The Whites, helping Marcelo Bielsa’s side to the top of the Championship with 13 league strikes.

The 25-year-old made the move to Elland Road from Oxford United in 2016 for a fee worth £3 million, with Roofe making over 100 first-team appearances since arriving in Yorkshire.
Newcastle boss Benitez is reportedly keen on a move for the natural goalscorer, however, funds for new signings have not been guaranteed to the Spaniard, and it looks like it will take a large fee in order to bring Roofe to St James’ Park in the new year.
