Newcastle United target Miguel Almiron is reportedly demanding wages worth £90,000 per week.
It is reported by the Mirror that the Magpies remain determined to sign the playmaker from Atlanta United in the January transfer window as Rafa Benitez bids to add more creativity to the ranks.
The Premier League outfit have been heavily linked with a move to sign the Paraguay international in recent weeks, but competition is fierce in the race for his signature.

Almiron enjoyed an impressive season in MLS and found the net on a total of 13 occasions for Atlanta.
This has led a number of clubs to express an interest in signing him, with Newcastle understood to be heading the queue as the turn of the year draws nearer.
However, it seems they are some way away from meeting Almiron’s demands, let alone Atlanta’s regarding their valuation of the player.
The Mirror claim that the Magpies are offering the attacking midfielder £70,000 per week, but this could be insufficient as he continues to demand big money ahead of his next move.
