Dominic Solanke could be given the green light to spend time on loan away from Liverpool in January, but Reds boss Jürgen Klopp has made no decision yet.
Newcastle have been linked with the target man, who would provide a new option for Rafael Benitez at the top of his formation.
The 21-year-old is sought after by a number of clubs in both the Premier League and Championship, and if Klopp should choose to do so, could receive valuable playing time.
Purchased last summer from Chelsea, Solanke played a big part in the Merseysiders’ season last year, making 27 appearances in the 2017-18 campaign.

This year, it’s been a different story. With Daniel Sturridge rediscovering both fitness and form, Solanke has been bumped down the order, and hasn’t been called upon as of yet.
That said, Klopp isn’t ruling out the possibility of picking the England international.
The Liverpool Echo claim that the German tactician will wait until his side are through their festive fixtures before making a final decision, wary of possible injury crises affecting his forward line in the same way they have his defensive line.
