Charlie Nicholas thinks Newcastle could be in line to make a run at Liverpool striker Dominic Solanke.
The Reds forward saw plenty of playing time last season, making 27 appearances in all competitions in his first season on Merseyside.
Frustrated in front of goal, the 21-year-old had to wait until the final game of the Premier League season to bag his first goal in a Liverpool shirt, striking home against Brighton & Hove Albion.
Solanke has not appeared in any matches so far this season for Liverpool, with other striker Daniel Sturridge rediscovering both fitness and form.
As such, many are linking the England U21 international with a move away from Anfield.

Sky Sports pundit Charlie Nicholas thinks that Newcastle could be a possible destination for the youngster.
Quoted in the Daily Express, Nicholas said:
It is not a surprise because most of the teams at the bottom end of the English Premier League are looking to bring in at least one striker. I wouldn’t even be surprised if a club like Newcastle United tried to get him [Solanke] on loan,
Given Steven Gerrard’s status as manager of Glasgow Rangers, many had floated the idea of Solanke making the trip north of the border; not Nicholas, however:
When you are getting offered the chance to play in the Premier League then a lot of people are asking, ‘Why would he go to Rangers?’.
It is up to him [Solanke] if he wants to play for Steven Gerrard because it will be him and not Rangers that is the pull if he comes up here. That is the reality of where they are.
