Marcelo Bielsa has ruled out a January swoop for Newcastle youngster Freddie Woodman.
The Mirror reports that the Leeds United boss is not considering a deal to sign either Woodman or Burnley keeper Tom Heaton, despite the Whites’ concerns in between the sticks.
Woodman had been heavily linked with a loan move to the Championship high-flyers as Bielsa’s side struggle with injuries.
The club were temporarily left without a senior goalkeeper, sparking talk that one could arrive on loan in the new year.
Arsenal and Celtic have also been linked with moves to sign Woodman and Bielsa’s latest comments offer both sides hope in their bid to snap up the England youth international.
The youngster is very highly rated at the club but has found game time hard to come by at St James’ Park.
He could struggle to break into Rafa Benitez’s side going forward following suggestions that they are set to sign Geronimo Rulli in January.
