Dyche insists Newcastle are facing normal troubles

According to Chronicle Live, Sean Dyche believes that Newcastle’s problems aren’t too dissimilar to other Premier League clubs.

Dyche’s Burnley face Rafa Benitez’s side on Monday night, as two teams who had difficult starts to their respective seasons look to pick up points in a crucial fixture.

Both teams are currently on nine points and are just one point above Cardiff City in 17th place on the Premier League table.

Many believe that the reason Newcastle are struggling is due to lack of investment, but few are making that excuse for Burnley’s recent struggles, with the Clarets spending just £6 million more in the summer window.

Dyche discussed the challenges that the Magpies have been facing in the transfer market but insisted that they are not unusual for Premier League clubs. The Burnley boss said:

They are new limitations in the transfer market, that is for sure.  It is a challenge. I can empathise (with Benitez) but I don’t sympathise with too many on that.

I don’t think we are always dashing money around all over the place but you can certainly empathise. Managers have done what he has done amongst many in the Premier League.

It is very difficult, so I think you should have respect for them all but he (Benitez) has certainly done a lot in the game.

matchday.
