Newcastle United have identified Eintracht Frankfurt striker Sebastien Haller their number one target when the January transfer window opens, according to a report from Scott Wilson of The Northern Echo.
Rafael Benitez wants to bring in a new centre-forward and an attacking midfielder in January in an attempt to resolve the issue of his side looking for from potent in front of goal.
The Magpies have yet to win a league game all season and have scored just six goals in 10 Premier League matches so far, so it’s clear that something needs to be done if they are to remain in the division.

Benitez, according to Wilson, has met with Newcastle owner Mike Ashley to discuss transfers and whilst he was not given a specific budget, the Spaniard is confident that he will get some backing from the club in the winter.
Haller only joined Frankfurt in 2017 but Newcastle have been scouting him for a while and Benitez will be confident of completing a deal, if Ashley gives him the money to do so.
