Newcastle United are considering a swoop for former AS Monaco manager Leonardo Jardim, according to claims from French news outlet Le10 Sport.
The Portuguese was recently relieved of his duties as Monaco’s first-team boss, with Thierry Henry stepping in at his former club.
This has prompted speculation linking Jardim with an immediate move elsewhere, with a switch to the Premier League touted.
According to Le10 Sport, Leicester City have established an interest in Jardim as they continue to ponder the future of Claude Puel as their first-team manager.

However, the Foxes could face competition in their pursuit of Jardim, reports claim, with Newcastle understood to have signalled their interest.
Rafa Benitez remains a well-received figure at St James’ Park but the Magpies are currently sitting at the foot of the Premier League table having won none of their opening nine fixtures.
Jardim was dismissed from his role at Monaco as the club sat in 18th place on the Ligue 1 table.
