Newcastle United have received a timely boost as on-loan striker Salomon Rondon has returned to full training.
As reported on the Shields Gazette, the forward is pushing to be fit to play against Southampton this weekend.

Rondon has been out of action for a month with a groin problem but he has worked hard to get himself fit.
The official club website published photos of today’s training session which showed that Rondon was participating in the session with the rest of the team, indicating that he is back and ready to play.
The Magpies will be looking to Rondon to supply some sort of goal threat for the remainder of the season as they currently sit at the bottom of the Premier League.
Scoring goals has become a huge problem for Rafa Benitez and his players, but they know that if they provide Rondon with the adequate service, then he can begin to increase his goal tally.
