According to the Chronicle Live, Newcastle defender Jamaal Lascelles has come out in defence of manager Rafa Benitez.
Newcastle have not won a game this season, with their performances not looking convincing either in the Premier League.
However, The Magpies captain has come out in defence of Benitez after boos rang around St. James’ Park when he took off Yoshinori Muto for Joselu during their 1-0 defeat to Brighton on Saturday.

Benitez has shown faith in Lascelles, making him their captain in the Spaniard’s first season in charge.
He has also helped Lascelles boost his performances on the pitch, with many wanting the centre-back to be called up to the England squad.
In an interview after the Brighton match, Lascelles said
I don’t think anyone in the stadium can question the manager about anything, whether it’s to do with substitutions, tactics or whatever – they can’t question the manager, because he knows football better than anyone in this whole stadium.
Much of the blame has been put on Mike Ashley this season, after failing to invest sufficiently in the transfer window.
