Newcastle United boss Rafa Benitez has shortlisted Liverpool duo Dominic Solanke and Divock Origi as potential January targets for the club, according to a report from the Newcastle Chronicle.
Benitez is out to strengthen in the final third when the January window swings around with his Newcastle side short of options in front of goal.
However, because the Magpies already have two players on loan from English clubs; Kenedy from Chelsea and Salomon Rondon from West Brom, they will not be allowed to loan a third.

That means that it’s highly unlikely that Solanke will be an option for Newcastle as Liverpool will only let him move on a loan deal in January, but Origi could be the man they turn to.
The Reds are happy to sell Origi, who looks to be well down the pecking order in terms of Jurgen Klopp’s attacking options, but they will not let him leave on the cheap.
The Belgian’s goalscoring record for the Reds is fairly respectable so it won’t be a surprise if there are a few clubs interested in taking him in January.
