Newcastle summer target Füllkrug signs new deal with current club

Newcastle summer target and Hannover 96 striker Niclas Füllkrug has signed a contract extension with the club which will see his stay run till 2022.

The 25-year old Magpies target reportedly attracted interest from a host of other Premier League clubs this summer too, including from Everton, Leicester and Wolves, as well as Bundesliga side Borussia Mönchengladbach.

However, the 25-year old German remained at the HDI-Arena, and has now extended his stay with Die Roten.

Füllkrug, who had previously been linked with a call-up to the German national team, scored 14 goals in 34 Bundesliga appearances for Die Roten last season.
