Rafa Benitez and Newcastle will be hoping for an improvement when they welcome Chelsea to St James’ Park on Sunday.
The two sides meet at the end of the weekend, with the Magpies searching for their first win of the season.
Benitez has some decisions to make this week with Kenedy ineligible to face his parent club.
Here is how we think the Magpies will line up.
GK – Martin Dubravka
Newcastle’s number one this season.
RB – DeAndre Yedlin
He’ll be hoping to get forward and attack from deep.
CB – Jamaal Lascelles
One of the first names on the team sheet for Benitez.
CB – Ciaran Clark
Helped Newcastle to a clean sheet against the Premier League new boys last time out.
LB – Paul Dummett
Dummett has been a regular on the left for Newcastle.
CM – Jonjo Shelvey
If chances are to be limited for Newcastle, they’ll need to make the most out of Shelvey’s passing range.
CM – Mo Diame
Diame will add some defensive protection in the middle of the park.
RW – Matt Ritchie
Newcastle will be looking to him for service with chances likely to be limited.
CAM – Ayoze Perez
The Spaniard will be tasked with finding space and linking up play for Newcastle.
LW – Yoshinori Muto
Muto could start out wide for the Magpies with Kenedy unavailable.
ST – Salomon Rondon
Could make his first start for his new club.
