Newcastle United manager Rafa Benitez has tipped Kenedy to bounce back after his disastrous showing away at Cardiff City last weekend.
The Magpies signed the Brazilian attacker on a season-long loan from Chelsea after he caught the eye with some exciting displays last season during a temporary spell at the club.
However, Kenedy has so far endured a difficult start to the new campaign and has come in for some criticism after struggling against Cardiff last Saturday.
Kenedy was fortunate to escape a red card and further disciplinary action after he was seen to kick out at Cardiff midfielder Victor Camarasa. Then, in stoppage time, Kenedy stepped up to take a decisive penalty but saw his effort saved by Bluebirds shot-stopper Neil Etheridge.

It’s been a tricky period for Kenedy but Benitez, who addressed the media ahead of his side’s encounter with Chelsea this weekend, is backing the youngster to improve.
As quoted by West London Sport, the Spaniard sympathised with the Newcastle loanee.
In terms of his quality, he’s very confident, so we were talking about that and the decisions he was making in the game, and it’s something that’s important for a young player to understand, to learn and then to move forward.
He’s fine now, he’s been training well. It’s been a bad experience, but a good experience in the end.
