Newcastle winger Kenedy looks set to avoid any retrospective punishment for his kick-out at Cardiff City’s Victor Camarasa, the Northern Echo reports.
The Brazilian was the main talking point following Saturday’s 0-0 draw in the Welsh capital, after missing a last-gasp penalty to win the game for Newcastle.
However, many believed Kenedy was lucky to be on the pitch to take the spot-kick, after appearing to swing his leg at Camarasa earlier in the game.
A ban of some description was anticipated on Tyneside, with fears growing that the FA could hit Kenedy with a violent conduct charge, potentially leading to a three-game ban.

However, despite the incident being caught on camera, it is understood that the Football Association will take the decision not to review it.
Protocol dictates that retrospective action may only be taken in the event of the referee not seeing the incident in real time. In this case, however, Craig Pawson registered the foul by awarding a free kick for Cardiff.
Kenedy will not be involved in next week’s home game despite avoiding a ban, as his parent club Chelsea will be travelling to St James Park.
