Genoa are expected to push a deal to sign Achraf Lazaar on loan from Newcastle United over the line, but it’s being reported that the Magpies want to include an obligatory buyout clause in the transfer.
According to claims from Italy, as cited by Football Italia, Lazaar and his entourage are in the country as they look to complete a loan move to Genoa.
It seems all but certain that a loan deal will be agreed by all of the parties, but according to fresh reports from Italy, Newcastle would be keen to ensure that Lazaar is sold to Genoa next summer in a permanent transfer.

This demand from Newcastle is reportedly leading to a hold-up in the completion of the loan deal, with Rafa Benitez’s side evidently keen to get Lazaar off their books once and for all.
The left-back spent a period in Italy last season as he sought first-team football with Serie A strugglers Benevento.
