Concerns were raised following the encounter after Yedlin appeared to damage his knee during Newcastle’s 2-1 defeat to Spurs.

However, the club have since allayed any fears that Yedlin will miss a prolonged spell of action, indicating that he will return to full training with the rest of the first-team squad in the not so distant future.
Yedlin remains a key player for Rafa Benitez, with the USA international set to enjoy yet another season of regular game-time on the right-hand side of the Newcastle starting line-up.
Nevertheless, the defender will hope to shake off the knock to his knee in swift fashion as Newcastle look to get off to a good start in the Premier League this season.
