Watford have a made a €20 million bid for Lille midfielder Thiago Maia, a man reportedly targeted by Newcastle.
The 21-year-old impressed in his what was his first season at Lille, and despite his recent arrival, could be heading out the door again one year later.
Joining from Santos in his home country of Brazil, Thiago Maia made 37 appearances in all competitions during the 2017-18 campaign.
