Newcastle United reportedly retain an interest in Crystal Palace man Jairo Riedewald.
The Magpies are believed to still be active in this summer’s transfer window, with the deadline fast approaching English clubs ahead of the new season’s beginning.
Newcastle have added to their squad but appear to be monitoring several other potential targets, and the Daily Mail report that Riedewald is among the players who interest them in the closing periods of the window.
Palace had been intending to use Riedewald in a part-exchange deal, as they looked to complete the signing of Swansea City striker Jordan Ayew.
However, the Eagles failed to tie up a deal for the unhappy forward, with Riedewald believed to have been reluctant to make the switch to the Championship club this summer.
Nevertheless, it’s claimed by the Mail that Newcastle have expressed an interest in recruiting Riedewald, who has struggled to settle in English football following his move from Ajax last summer.
