Newcastle United have been priced out of a move for Juventus midfielder Stefano Sturaro, according to claims in Italy.
Football Italia cite Gazzetta Dello Sport in reporting that the valuation is too much for the Magpies to consider, and therefore they will not be making an approach.
Sturaro moved to Turin from Genoa in 2014 for a reported fee of €5.5 million plus add-ons.
However, he has found his game time limited for the Old Lady, making just 90 appearances across his four seasons with the club.

The Italian is known to be an extremely versatile player, who mostly plays in the centre of midfield. Throughout his career, he has also been deployed at centre-back, full-back and at wide midfield.
Juve boss Max Allegri is understood to be keen on keeping the player as a valuable rotation option, but would be willing to let him leave should a suitable offer come in.
Rafael Benitez has so far made five additions to his squad this summer, including midfielder Ki Sung-Yeung from Swansea City.
Fellow Premier League clubs West Ham United, Crystal Palace and Leicester City have also been linked with Sturaro, but a deal now looks unlikely with the English transfer window closing in two days.
