Newcastle and West Brom have reopened talks for the transfer of Salomon Rondon.
The Venezuelan had been tipped with a move to Tyneside last month, but the switch stalled after the clubs failed to reach an agreement.

The deal had been suggested to have included the simultaneous move of Dwight Gayle to the Baggies.
With Rondon’s contract showing just 11 months remaining, the Chronicle report that the two clubs are pressing on to finalise the transfer before the August 9 deadline.
As Adam Armstrong prepares to leave St James’ Park, the further departure of Aleksandar Mitrovic to Fulham has left Rafael Benitez urgently needing to add forwards before the start of the season.
Rondon made 39 appearances in all competitions for West Brom last season. His ten goals were not enough to prevent the West Midlanders’ relegation to the Championship.
With West Brom manager Darren Moore interested in bringing Gayle to the Hawthorns, the swap deal may yet have life.
