Blackburn Rovers are closing in on the permanent signing of Newcastle United forward Adam Armstrong.
The 21-year-old joined Blackburn on loan until the end of the season in the January transfer window earlier on this year and it seems significant efforts have since been made from the Championship club to secure his signature.
According to claims from Sky Sports reporter Keith Downie, Newcastle and Blackburn have reached an agreement over the transfer of Armstrong.

It’s claimed that the fee that has been agreed is set at £1.75 million, but this figure could rise to £3m based on other clauses involved in the deal.
Armstrong has been forced to seek first-team football away from St James’ Park on four separate occasions in his short career so far, but it seems he will now secure his first permanent move away from Newcastle as Blackburn close in.
