Newcastle United reportedly hold an interest in West Brom defender Kieran Gibbs but could be priced out of a move for the player.
According to a report from the Daily Mail, the Magpies are on the lookout for a new left-back this summer as they look to provide Paul Dummett with viable competition for a starting spot.
Newcastle are believed to be in active negotiations with PSG as they look to tie up a deal for Stanley N’Soki. However, if this deal is not achievable, it seems Gibbs is regarded as a potential alternative, albeit a pricier one.

The defender was one of West Brom’s more impressive players in what was a difficult season for the club following his move from Arsenal last summer.
Newcastle had been linked with a move for Gibbs, but the Baggies beat Rafa Benitez’s side to the England international’s signature
Nevertheless, it seems the Magpies would consider rivalling Serie A outfit Torino for Gibbs’ signature, should West Brom’s valuation comply with Newcastle’s remaining available funds.
