Newcastle have made a bid for Liverpool striker Danny Ings, according to a report from the Times.
Newcastle are in the market for a striker, and have been interested in Ings, who is allowed to leave Anfield this summer as he goes in search of regular first-team football elsewhere.
A whole host of clubs have allegedly expressed an interest in Ings, who Liverpool value at £20m. It’s claimed in the Times’ report that Southampton and Leicester have also made an offer for the striker, with Crystal Palace also stepping up their interest.

Liverpool are looking to trim their squad of its fringe players this summer, with Ings one of the players set to leave Anfield.
Newcastle have made only a few signings this Summer, with more incoming with survival again the aim for next season.
Southampton are another side interested in the striker, with their interest in the former Burnley man resurfacing recently.
