Fulham’s pursuit of Newcastle United striker Aleksandar Mitrovic has reportedly hit a stumbling block, with distance between the two clubs’ respective valuations of the player.
According to a report from Sky Sports, the Whites are desperate to tie up a deal for Mitrovic but are still offering only £16m for the striker. Newcastle, though, are holding out for a sum of £18m for the Serbian international.
Mitrovic joined Fulham in the January transfer window on a short-term loan and was instrumental as they secured promotion to the Premier League via the play-offs.

Following his successful spell at Craven Cottage, the Whites want to sign Mitrovic on a permanent basis and have been locked in talks with Newcastle for some time now.
Mitrovic is set to attend pre-season training with the rest of the Newcastle first-team squad this week, but speculation continues to surround his future at the club.
The former Anderlecht star found the net on 12 occasions for Fulham during his short stint with the club.
