Newcastle United are reportedly considering a move for Croatia international Milan Badelj.
The experienced midfielder is able to move for free this summer after seeing his contract at Fiorentina reach its expiration at the end of the recently-concluded season.
Badelj played a part for Croatia at the World Cup as they made an unlikely appearance in the final of this summer’s competition.

However, his future remains unresolved, with a number of clubs understood to be keen on signing him this summer. According to a report from the Mirror, Newcastle have emerged as potential suitors for the midfielder.
The Magpies are believed to be working with limited funds this summer and it seems the prospect of signing a player of Badelj’s experience on a free transfer is a lucrative proposition for the club.
Isaac Hayden is believed to be keen to leave Newcastle this summer, also, indicating that another midfielder could follow Ki Sung-yueng through the door at St James’ Park.
