Newcastle along with Crystal Palace are both taking a look at Stoke midfielder Giannelli Imbula, according to reports in France.
According to SFR Sport, Imbula is wanted by both the Eagles and the Magpies, but could be set to return to France where he spent time last season.
Imbula spent the first half of last season on loan at Toulouse after struggling to make an impact for Mark Hughes and Stoke.

The Potters paid over £18 million for Imbula, with the midfielder failing to settle in Staffordshire. However, Imbula played over 28 times in France, and reportedly would prefer to return to Ligue 1 next season.
However, no French sides are reportedly interested in Imbula, a move to Newcastle could be on the cards.
With Stoke being relegated to the Championship, Imbula is almost certain to leave the Bet365 Stadium, and possibly earn another shot of Premier League football.
