Massadio Haidara is set to leave Newcastle United and join RC Lens as a free agent after his contract at St James’ Park has expired, according to Get Football News France.
This will put an end to his five year stay in the North East, after joining from Nancy in January 2013.
Nancy currently play in Ligue 2, which is where he will be heading to for his next club to feature for RC Lens.
His spell in the black and white of Newcastle United will however, be remembered for his lack of game time due to injury.

Haidara had to wait until the last game of the season, the 3-0 win over Chelsea, to make his first league appearance of the campaign, coming on as a late substitute for Mohamed Diame.
This was very similar to the previous season, where he had to wait until the 3-0 win over Barnsley on the last day of the season to make his first league appearance of the title winning season.
He will agree a two year contract with an option to extend a further third year with RC Lens, who finished fourth in Ligue 2 last season and will see the 25-year-old as a crucial part of the squad to push back to the French top flight.
