Newcastle United manager Rafa Benitez is continuing to be watched by Russian giants Zenit Saint Petersburg as there are further doubts over his future at the club, according to the Chronicle Live.
The Spaniard had a fine season at the club after guiding them to a 10th-place finish after promotion and is keen to kick on with the club ahead of next term.
A whole number of teams have been chasing the Newcastle man including West Ham although it looks like they will opt for former Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini.

The Russian side are now without a manager after Roberto Mancini left for the club to join the Italian national side, meaning they are in the market for a replacement.
Benitez is hopeful that the club can make a decision on his future within the next week after a string of talks between both parties.
With the World Cup just around the corner, Benitez is hopeful of a swift decision that will allow Newcastle to strengthen their squad over the summer.
