Chelsea winger Kenedy has left the door open for a return to Newcastle after his loan spell with the Magpies ended following the conclusion of the season last weekend.
The Brazilian signed for Rafa Benitez’ side in January and was an influential figure on the pitch, helping the club finish in a very respectable tenth place.
Benitez has already reiterated his desire to bring the 22-year old back to Tyneside next season, whether by means of another loan or through a permanent transfer.
Now back at Chelsea, Kenedy spoke about his spell with the Magpies ahead of the Blues upcoming FA Cup final against Manchester United. He said;
I was glad to come here to Newcastle, one of the biggest clubs in England, and I really appreciated the chance to play.
I’d like to thank Rafa Benítez because he trusted in me. I really enjoyed my time here – it was very good. All the players, all the staff, they made me feel at home. I felt good. I gained confidence from the amazing support and I really enjoyed it.
Maybe one day I will be back.
