Newcastle interested in signing Chelsea duo

Newcastle United have contacted Chelsea about the availability of Kenedy and Tammy Abraham for next season, according to TEAMtalk.

Rafa Benitez wants Kenedy back on loan at the club after the excellent spell he had at St James’ Park when arriving in January.

The Brazilian played in 13 games for the Magpies, leaving the fans in awe at his trickery to go with the two goals he scored.

His performances helped Newcastle avoid relegation comfortably as they finished tenth, but he had to sit out the final day demolition of the Blues where they won 3-0.

Abraham, meanwhile, suffered relegation with Swansea City, scoring five goals in 31 appearances although over half of those were from the bench.

The 20-year-old will have been frustrated after a strong start to the season although Benitez is keen to add him to Newcastle’s squad.

The Toon wouldn’t be able to take both players on loan due to Premier League rules so it looks bleak that both will sign for next season.

Fans are keen to see a return for Kenedy although Abraham could be inspired by Benitez as he looks to add goals to the experience he has gained so far in the Premier League.

In an ideal world, the Magpies will sign Kenedy on a permanent deal, leaving them free to take Abraham on loan.
