Newcastle have received a very handy injury boost ahead of Saturday’s trip to Leicester City.
Mohamed Diame had been substituted during the 1-0 victory against Huddersfield, and despite initial worries, the move is now understood to have been precautionary.

As such, the midfielder will be available for Rafael Benitez to use in his squad, should he so desire.
The Senegalese has played 27 times for the Magpies this season, and has been a critical part of a team that currently sits in a reasonably comfortable 12th position, a full seven points north of the relegation zone.
Newcastle met Leicester for the first time this season just before Christmas, and despite an early goal from Joselu being supplemented by a 73rd minute equaliser from Dwight Gayle, an agonising 86th minute Ayoze Perez own goal handed the Foxes all three points.

Travelling to the King Power, Newcastle will have some demons to exorcise in the reverse fixture.
