Newcastle United youngster Dan Barlaser is reportedly a target for Super Lig giants Besiktas this summer.
According to a report from Turkish news outlet Aksam, Besiktas plan to discuss a deal for the Magpies’ young talent at the end of the season as they eye long-term replacements for Oguzhan Ozyakup.
Turkey international Ozyakup is seemingly on his way out of Besiktas this summer, with his contract rapidly approaching its expiration. Incidentally, the former Arsenal protege has been heavily linked with a move to Newcastle in recent times.

Barlaser’s versatility is noted by Aksam as an attractive quality as they plan their summer business. The 21-year-old, who is currently on loan with Crewe Alexandra, can play in central midfield and also on the right-hand side of the defence.
The Gateshead-born midfielder played for Turkey’s national side in his particularly younger days, representing them U16 and U17 level.
Newcastle have reportedly lodged an enquiry to Ozyakup’s representatives over a potential summer move, and it’ll be interesting to see whether this will lead Besiktas to target Barlaser this summer if the midfielder does move on.
