Newcastle United are reportedly interested in signing Oguzhan Ozyakup from Besiktas this summer.
According to a report from Turkish-Football, the Magpies have been keeping a close eye on the midfielder throughout the season and are readying a summer swoop.
Ozyakup has long been linked with a move to the Premier League and interest appears to be intensifying ahead of the summer transfer window.
It’s stated in the report that Newcastle have made an enquiry to Ozyakup’s representatives in order to gauge his availability ahead of the end of the season.
The 24-year-old’s contract with the Super Lig outfit expires in the coming months, meaning he’ll be available on a free transfer. However, Besiktas are noted to be working on a contract extension for their star man as they aim to retain his services.
Ozyakup hasn’t enjoyed the greatest season in Besiktas’ colours but remains a key player to them and their future plans.
Arsenal have also been linked with a move for the Turkey international.
