Much of the Newcastle faithful will be delighted with the move, as the general consensus is that he is not good enough for the Premier League relegation fight.
Colback has found it hard to break into the Newcastle side this season, with the likes of Mikel Merino, Isaac Hayden, Jonjo Shelvey and Mohammed Diame all ahead of him in the pecking order at St. James’ Park.
For Colback, this could be a big step for his future. If he can hold down a starting place at Forest then he could put his career right back on track.
The Englishman has been derailed in the Newcastle side over the past few years and Aitor Karanka could be the key to a revival for Colback.
