Amanda Staveley has been having fresh talks with Newcastle’s Mike Ashley ahead of a proposed takeover of the club, as reported by the Daily Express.
The new offer is reportedly worth £300 million but it seems that Ashley is still waiting for the next announcement on the new Premier League TV deal to determine his valuation of the club.
Despite this deal being likely to come through, there is set to be no additional money made possible for first-team boss Rafa Benitez, the Express reports, as they look to beat the drop this season.

The Spaniard has been left very frustrated by the lack of funds that have been made available to him, although this could improve in the future should the £300 deal go through and be processed.
Ashley has been a very stubborn figure of late and once the takeover is complete it would take a real burden off of the club and would allow for improvements.
