According to The Shields Gazette, Karl Darlow is “frustrated” with links away from the club despite not being able to hold down a starting place.
Darlow hasn’t played a league game for The Magpies in six months, after suffering an injury and Rib Elliot coming in and putting in many impressive performances in between the sticks at Newcastle.
The 27-year-old was one of Newcastle’s key men last season, making many crucial saves to keep Newcastle in the Championship title race, which they won in the end, but Elliot has kept him out the side in impressive fashion.

When interviewed at Newcastle United Foundation’s 125 Years United Dinner, Darlow said this about his current situation
Of course, it’s been a frustrating start for me, I’ve wanted to play, but it’s the manager’s decision, so I have to stick by it, just keep working hard on the training ground and hope things improve for myself.
But I’m so pleased for the lads, because we worked so hard last season to get up, and to see them doing well in the Premier League is excellent.
