I haven’t been good enough this season- Hayden

It is uncommon to see players being their first critics, but it seems players like Newcastle’s Isaac Hayden is constantly on the path of self-appraisal as he has claimed that his performances have not been up to scratch all season and that he is willing to improve so as to cement his place in Rafa Benitez’s team. The former Arsenal youngster was one of the best players for the Magpies last season as they won the Championship title but has struggled to adapt to the increased intensity of the Premier League.

After a difficult start to the season, Newcastle are in form and are comfortable in the upper half of the season with the Toon finally getting to show our quality under the hugely successful RafaBenitez. Hayden and his soccer cleat has been a first team regular in Benitez squad starting in all Premier league matches so far this season, and could return in his best form, place your bet with the best odds at 10bet free bet. Newcastle have averaged the youngest squad in the whole of the division this season, and Hayden has benefited from that policy by Benitez.

Speaking recently, Hayden said, “I’m realistic about these things and I don’t think I was harsh on myself,” “I set myself high standards and I understand my game, I understand what I need to improve on.“I just believe I’m an honest person and if I have a good game I feel I can say I’ve had a good game, and if I’ve had a bad game I feel I can say I’ve had a bad game. I’m not afraid to admit things or take things on the chin.“It’s something that I felt and I spoke to the manager about it, watched clips back, etc., etc., but it’s about becoming the best player you can be.” he added.

Hayden is primarily a defensive midfielder that can play as a centreback, right back and central midfielderHe was instrumental for us last season as we gained promotion to the Premier League and giving an honest assessment of his performances shows a player that keeps wanting to develop and cut out mistakes form his game. He joined Newcastle in 2016 from Arsenal for an undisclosed fee and has since made 36 appearances scoring two goals in the process.
