Newcastle have enjoyed a fine, yet unspectacular start to the Premier League season winning three of their seven games thus far which sees them sit in ninth place on 10 points.
Rafa Benitez will be pleased with how his side have performed so far this season but their lack of goals will be a cause for concern, netting just seven times in seven Premier League games.
That being said, the Toon Army’s stoic defence, conceding just six so far this season, has provided a good platform to build from and made Newcastle a tough to beat outfit.
This weekend, Newcastle make the long trip to the south coast to take on Southampton who find themselves in 12th place and similarly struggle to score.
Without many injuries, Benitez will be picking from a near enough full-strength squad this weekend.
