Newcastle United sent representatives to watch Sampdoria’s Dennis Praet this evening and, according to reports in Italy, there will be talks held between the two clubs at some stage over the next 24 hours.
Praet played 84 minutes as Sampdoria beat Benevento 2-1 in their first league game of the season and if Newcastle get their way, that could be the only game he plays for them in the campaign as they are reportedly set to offer €15million to sign him.

The 23-year-old signed for I Blucerchiati from Anderlecht in the summer of 2016 for €10 million so if the Serie A side decide to sell, they’ll make a profit on him.
Rafa Benitez has been left frustrated at the lack of transfer activity at Newcastle so far this summer so he’ll be hoping that the club can come to an agreement to sign the Belgian sooner rather than later.
