Newcastle target summer move for Burnley striker
Rafa Benitez will target Burnley striker Andre Gray this summer should the club seal promotion back to the Premier League.
As reported by the Chronicle, Benitez has his eyes on Gray as a replacement for Aleksander Mitrovic.
Tottenham, Everton, West Brom and Southampton are also interested in signing the striker in the summer transfer window.
Gray is out of contract at Turf Moor at the end of next season, which may force the Clarets into a summer deal, to raise as much money as they can.
The former Brentford man has adapted to life in the Premier League well, scoring eight goals this season, as Burnley appear to be safe for their first season back in the top-flight.
Benitez is targeting a squad overhaul in the summer to prepare his squad for Premier League promotion.
The Magpies currently sit top of the Championship, six points ahead of Huddersfield in third place after their 3-0 defeat at home to play-off hopefuls Fulham.
