Summer loan signing, Christian Atsu is reportedly target for the Turkish side, Medipol Basaksehir, according to Turkish media outlet, Fanatik.
The club, who are also known as İstanbul Başakşehir F.K, wants to sign the winger on a loan deal with a view to buying him permanently in the summer, despite the fact he is currently on loan at Newcastle.
The move would be a blow to Newcastle, who are likely to be active during the January transfer window as they push for promotion.
Atsu is yet to make a first-team appearance for Chelsea after being shipped out on loan after loan since arriving from FC Porto in 2013.
The winger has spent time at Everton, Bournemouth, Malaga but failed to make any sort of impact of any of the clubs, but seems to have settled under Rafa Benitez at Newcastle.
He has made a total of 18 appearances for Benitez’s men across all competitions and scored three goals as they push for an immediate return to the Premier League.
